THE Roger Deakins won the 16th nomination for Oscar Best Cinematography for his work in the film “Empire of Light”.
“I’m glad to be there representing the film and all the people who put so much effort into it” said the English filmmaker to “Variety”.

The legendary cinematographer and two-time Academy Award winner earned the film’s only Oscar nomination, marking his fifth collaboration with director Sam Mendes.
“It’s for everyone” said Roger Deakins of the recognition from the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. “The image of the film is created by the production designer, the costume designer and the actors. It’s so hard to sort out all the amazing elements” explained.
