Sesame Street creator Lloyd Morissette has died at the age of 93


The creator of the legendary television educational program “Sesame Street” and co-founder of “Sesame Workshop” Lloyd Morissette has died at the age of 93. His cause of death has not yet been revealed.

The “Sesame Workshop” Instagram account revealed the sad news, without further details.

“Sesame Workshop” then called Children’s Television Workshop (CTW) – created the legendary television show “Sesame Street”, which began airing in November 1969.

The idea for the series began in December 1965, as Morissette noticed how devoted his three-year-old daughter was to television, which made him wonder if he could do something to educate children through it.
