Turkey: The National Security Council meets on Wednesday – Greece is also on the agenda

Its first meeting for 2023 will be held by its National Security Council (NSC). Turkey on Wednesday (25/1), under the presidency of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the Turkish media, the agenda will include topics such as Greece’s weapons programs, the Aegean and the Sweden.

The steps to be taken for Sweden’s NATO membership will be discussed, which violated – as emphasized by Turkish media – the tripartite agreement signed in Madrid 7 months ago.

At the same time, the high-level contacts with Syriaare expected to be high on the agenda of Turkey’s National Security Council.

The meeting will also include assessments of the US F-16 procurement, the Russia-Ukraine war and developments in Cyprus, Iraq, Libya and the Balkans.
