British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has called on Western allies to step up their support for Ukraine even more after their “collective and decisive” agreement to send tanks to Kyiv.
In a phone call with the leaders of the US, Germany, France and Italy, Sunak “said it is now clear that Russia is on the defensive and that international partners have a window of opportunity to step up their efforts aiming at peace in Ukraine,” Downing Street said in a statement.
The British prime minister “called on allies to step up their support in the coming weeks and months,” he added.
In that phone call, “all leaders welcomed the coordination of military procurement and collective international action in favor of Ukraine.”
